A Little Song

A Little Song

A Poem by Autumn

Stare at my wrist, those white seams along them sing a nightingale.

Hiding under my sleeves, they become a secret from the world I love; I hate.

Some are young; some are old as my birth. No jewellery to cover them.

They're my own pride; they're only mine. Worries. A little afraid, perhaps?

They comfort me and protect me from other pains.

Hold them to your lips, feel the Braille on my arms.

Can you speak the story they scream? It's a sad fairytale, and you're part of it now.

Thank you :)
This is haunting. Such an emotional and disturbing subject..you write about it honestly and yet so beautifully...it is difficult to put words to my thoughts here. All I can say is that I can feel the pain in your words. "feel the Braille on my arms" is a stunning line that speaks
Your last line is incredible.
I hope, somehow, this beautiful writing you do will help you find a voice to express what you need to get out. You do it in a unique way. Keep going.

I've lived ...endings
Held softly as hands left me behind.
I've tasted the tears of a generation,
the anger of a consciousless world,
and the hopelessness of loss...
and I find ...you - here
and wish we had spoken before.
