Swayin Drunk

Swayin Drunk

A Poem by Vicki L.
"

I wonder if she ever thought about saying this to him?

"
You listen here.
I don't know who
you think you are

stumblin drunk
in this house.
See those plates
steamless on

the table--hey!
I'm talkin.  You
see em?  I see

that hole in
the wall and
the kicked in
door hangin

on hinges like
us.  I wonder
every slurred night:

Where do you
hide the man
that I fell
in love with?

I'm trying to work out the syllabics here. I don't know.

As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for reading!

This is a heartbreaking look into the mind of a poor
lover, struggling to keep it all together.

Interesting and sincere freeform. Why do women fall in love with creeps? As to syllabification, bump that final "that."
