First snow

First snow

A Poem by Daring Darling Didi
"

Contrary to popular belief, this is not about limbo...

"
Falling soft
Hitting light
The silence is painful but somehow sweet
Serene
The scene
Blank as a sheet of paper
An empty face
A washed out place
Or just white
Endless white.

The word 'hitting' doesn't fit with the serenity of the piece. Otherwise I liked it. A little. Here's another poem about snow you might like, but if you don't read the whole thing, you'll miss the payoff. http://www.hymnsandcarolsofchristmas.com/Poetry/beautiful_snow.htm

I agree, a serene piece here,
so nicely written.

Nice, thoughtful, serene.
I've seen snows at midnight that seemed to silence the whole world.
Beautifully written.
