Her HandA Poem by Trent FilesI love this girl I just can't tell her but its killing me inside... She just doesn't know it...
To make for her hand seems too bold
It rests alone; how I wish it was mine to hold To keep my heart warm and ward away the cold And melt the ice for so long I have polished When feeling her warmth the icy case would be demolished But if only my doubts would be abolished When hungering pain that lingers out of sight Within my heart so devoid of light I crave to hold her close tonight As The angelic beauty that takes its form With wings of splendor, and rays so warm Frees me, yet escapes me in a single swarm That takes hold of me and freezes me still Not in ice or that which is ill But of what deters my very own will It is the simple fear that love is lost I just wish she knew I would pay any cost To hold her tight against the frost- But If I could find it within myself to tell her these words How My heart would leap and fly over holy birds And sing a song that would beat in thirds Her hand would be mine to hold fast And I would know this love would always last. © 2013 Trent Files |
