I Feel Nothing AnymoreA Poem by Trent Files
My body feels numb
The sensation driven from my limbs I await the final sum When my life's light finally dims As I lay staring at the sky I think not of the stars But when it will be my turn to die I don't like the confinement of these bars They hold me within Containing my body and soul I have been black as sin As thoughts leave stains dark as coal As I lay here feeling nothing anymore I close my eyes And I shut the final door. © 2013 Trent Files |
