Shores of Pale

Shores of Pale

A Poem by Trent Files
"

Somewhere at sea...

"

The shores of ages long lost

Where many a ship is pressed

A place where souls feel the Frost

Of the cold shores of eternal rest

To sailors a myth does it remain

Ships whose fame is now Forlorn

Overshadowed by a mist of pain

And known by none who have sworn

Sea meats Death in eternal Gloom

As fog creeps upon the darkened bay

Sailors beg to leave the frozen tomb

But forever within must they stay

Sirens scream songs of ill fate

And melancholy fills the salty air

A captain and his first mate

Lon to raise the mast now bare

Silence is deep upon the shore

As men work to set the solemn sail

Never to leave the abyssal floor

Stuck within the Shores of Pale
