By her Side

By her Side

A Poem by Trent Files

Leaving this world in a rush

Cheeks are left of all their red blush

Cold has gripped her hands

The boatmans fare to everafter he demands

I grieve for tonight

My mind is lost at this broken sight

I cant stand the loss

Against my heart across

Tears are pointlessly wasted

Upon the ground they are pasted

Sadness spills from my every pore

And shakes me to my very core

Riddled with fear

Watching as the shadows lear

I feel small and without hope

I am pinned against the rope

Here I stay

By her side I wish to lay

But alone I will have to sacrifice

In a World as Cold as Ice
