Bleeding Roses

Bleeding Roses

A Poem by Vespera

The moment when they
Get lost in the hues of blue
When all the roses dry & crumple
The flushed cheeks turn pale
Yet the entwined hands long for eternity "Maybe next time" their hearts screamed.

And I pondered why those pigeons
Stared at each other
Their eyes pouring, filling the same ocean
With gallons of love & warmth
And the roses bloom
A petal in its beak.
