Pt. 2 The AwakenedA Poem by ~VertoAtrum~This is a many part poem telling the story of the Black Guardians, also known as the Stone Giants of Yör. They left when the only person they trusted as their king fell to corruption and darknessTaking in the site, the elf quivered before the tall mountain, Of boulders and little rocks, down poured a mighty fountain, They fell off in patterns, revealing blue lines that glowed, And in one particular piece, there was set a diamond node, He heard a great grumble within it, perhaps it was a breath, As if it came from the mountain, from within its depths, And finally a face formed, atop shoulders larger than caves, A nose, two ruby eyes, and a crack for a mouth were engraved
The Zereb’ya stood, maintaining his distance, holding his ground, And gandered at the legend which he had, by pure chance, found, He should have felt frightened, but he knew they wouldn’t attack, For he knew who they were, so he smile and whispered “They’re back” © 2013 ~VertoAtrum~ |
