The lost game

This won't qualify for a story but it's actually a tiny tale wherein we write down as little as we can to express as much as we can. :)

"Checkmate!" her gravel voice sounded like an old, worn out record as her shivering, wrinkled hand declared victory.
He had lost countless games over the past sixty years. Only, now he was wise enough to understand that he actually wins when she does! :)
