Unease

Unease

A Poem by Verin

You’ve got a slow acidic smile

Gossamer gleams green upon your lips

An icy blue lights your eyes

Words bubble up, but freeze

All I’m left with is a bored sigh

Your body blurs as you dance away

Mine remains paralyzed

Trapped where I first saw you

Now your gone in the crowd

I catch a glimpse of a face

It could be yours

The song starts to fade

Eyes open then close

The spell is broken

My hands on the exit
