I amA Poem by CameronA man, a dream, a lesson
I sat with an old friend,
helping him to face his end. He looked at me with a face so dire, as if to tell his heart's desire. "Please listen to my word, I know you may find it quite absurd. All is not as it seems, for we each are maybe dreams. I could be a sailboat floating a midst the blue sky, as my bow floats idly high. Or I could be a raven on atop a door, quothing 'nevermore'. The dream I like best, is myself different from all the rest. Why I may be all I want or choose, always to gain and never to lose. There is nothing that can ever be truly taken, those who think so are quite mistaken. You are you and I am myself, that is who we should be and no one else." © 2012 CameronAuthor's Note
