This poem represents the embodied experience of emotion, or the emotional nature of embodied experience. I don't want to sound reductionistic, but the neurochemistry of relational loss is similar to that of chemical withdrawal. The symptoms are similar and profoundly color our mood, our memory, and our perspective on reality. We feel it in our gut, and this visceral experience informs our soul, for better or for worse.
You words really drew me in. I found myself feeling strongly empathic. Thanks for the experience.
This poem has strong descriptions of pain and beauty intertwined-I find it interesting that we subconsciously, and repeatedly hit the replay button before we move on. I guess it is all a part of coming to terms-grieving perhaps. Thought provoking. Thanks for sharing this piece.
Writing is my expression. It's the sympathetic ear to my struggles of life. It's the lure in the water, seeking the connection from one who might fish it out.
I seek those who can add to my words.. more..
