Amor Infinites

Amor Infinites

A Poem by Delvin Ashley Draper
"

Romantic poetry, though I, myself, am not really much of a romantic gal. However, I thought it would be worth a try to kick it in a genre not well-suited for me

"

Amor Infinites

We can fly, soar
Far to a world known only by us.
Dressed in passions,
Fleeting the fears of reality,
Seeking the dangers of the poetic timbre of love.
Sweet scent of glorious youth
Envelopes us in the everlasting twilight
Of you and me as one.
The passing bell instead kneels
To our entwined souls,
Which in the ashes of the Phoenix,
Rises always again.
We bring each other the beauty of a world undying;
The satin skin of me against the moonlit basked skin of you,
Touch with the kiss of immortality.
We are each other forever.

Hand-in-hand our fiery passion
Becomes tangled in the silken sheets.
You within me, me within you;
A portrait of infinite love.
