Rainbows

Rainbows

A Poem by Veramor
"

Reminiscing of the time when my brother wrestled a monkey for a banana in South Africa

"

The pitter patter pitter patter pit of the rain is like an archaic african drum-line. Reminding me of days when

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue and violet meant more than just colours of the rainbow, but were also the colours of cheeky monkey butts and cheeky monkey faces.

These rainbows brought glee and slight fear all at once.

 I mean

After losing a banana to one of them in a fight, they symbolised a second chance.

So come on rainbow… Lets Dance!

I liked the humour that I see in this write, and the unique placing of lines. The flow was okay, and I'm interested in hearing this read aloud. Great poem, Veramor!
