undyingA Poem by VerCrushing black why do you bother me beat in and out of the spaces between time even the dead may meet their end dragon that I am I cant help but contemplate your grandiosity seize every moment for what it's worth I suppose my failings only bring you mirth in the distance angles dance warmth gathers and tethers none to me my flames can't keep me warm much longer roars and frantic breaths to reach the holy ones the ones with all the answers my deluded brain soon forgets my wings have been frozen for so long my scales no longer clean my talons chipped and dull I cling to this tiny rock once its name was home red skies full of soot and ash oceans and creatures boiled away what else is there for an undying ancient as I am I cannot see into tomorrow I ask you oh holy ones is this the end or the beginning © 2019 VerAuthor's Note
