Flawed perfectionA Poem by ChinaDoll1928I kiss you and I feel a love A deep longing to look you in the eyes Say "I love you" And to hear you repeat it back to me I want to lay in bed with you All night as we bathe in the moonlight Then wake up to the fresh kisses Of the dazzling morning sun And I feel those hurtful words From the day I dare not remember I can't stop myself from thinking What do you think about when you kiss me? Our slow supple kisses That send chills up and down my spine Leaving me paralyzed but wanting more What do you feel? When you look into my brown eyes These eyes that have seen your heart break Then witness it's recovery Do you feel anything other than my longing touch? When I run my fingers through your hair And down your neck Tracing Imaginary lines on your collarbone Is there any way that I can not feel this way? To look at you and know You don't love me as I love you To look at you and feel not enough. Yet again. What do you feel for me? We date, we go out, you said I was beautiful You hold my hand, and you make me smile I never thought you would make me cry. I smile but I feel this sadness build I feel it weigh me down It's as if I'm the moon, always the moon surrounded by stories but forever chasing the sun.
