The ticking bladeA Poem by ChinaDoll1928I am not necessarily proud of this time in my life.
The clock chimes and it hits me,
Like a chilling slap to my cheek. A blizzard biting at my face. An icy blade tearing at my skin, I scratch, And I weep, And I tear, Just to see what lies beneath, The skin so flawless, Underneath, So lawless, The menacing chaos drives me, Like the bitterness in my veins, It revives me. It takes over the nightmare, Time is passing quickly now, My heart is thumping, I'll do it swiftly now. Uncovered flesh, Red and raw spilling out, Like the tears on my face, The emotions in my eyes, The finally of this situation, It lures me, The audacity of my asphyxiation.
