Hostilities

Hostilities

A Poem by A. D. Brown
"

Just something I thought of spur of the moment.

"

A face of empty shadows,

A whisper with no voice.

A cloak without a body,

A blood stained hand without a choice.

Miles of empty sorrow,

A wake of pain filled tears.

The land left broken and decayed

And people lost to fear.

There’s fire in the distance,

Bursting like starts upon the mounds.

And death’s cold hand crept mournfully

Cracking hard cold ground.

The sands have bled this evening.

The land has lost its hope.

By the touch of man it was destroyed,

And lost to nightfall what was known.

This is really beautiful!
I loved its subject and central idea...it is very appealing to the readers.

The structure is also very well maintained and the flow is simply flawless :)

Really, a true masterpiece..simple yet so vivid and powerful!

Great work :)
