Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher

A Poem by Venus Valentine

Red rocks and the shiny jewels,

Horses and the shades of cool,

Meshing well with my unique divinity.

Strokes of color light up the pink matter contained by bone,

illuminating the way though each sunset and sunrise.

Trying to find the sweet spot;

a place that holds the vortex of my desire.

Feet planted près de la creek,

nature’s wet body turned wishing-well.

Every pound of silver into the stream,

with crossed fingers,

attempting to catch my dream.

Appearing so distant,

tasting so near.

Just might acquire it in the color.
