Lonely Hearts

Lonely Hearts

A Poem by Velvetwolf55

Piles of leaves all around,
lonely hearts need more care,
lonely hearts loudly pound,
all throughout the midnight air.

Walking on emotions like stilts,
stepping around the care they so deserve,
not wanting to see whats built,
their past love or how it hurts.

Built on lies, it crumbles under us,
with everything else it stings
when the truth comes crashing upon us,
dizzy are our heads when they ring.

But once we're on the floor,
cried and wiped our tears once more,
how long until we get up and try again like before?
