Raw and Real

Raw and Real

A Poem by Velvetwolf55

When I write, emotions flow,
Raw and real, where feelings grow,
But with you, my muse, my love, my heart,
The words won’t come, I don’t know where to start.

It's like trying to reinvent the wheel,
Searching for the spark, the real feel,
I want to tell of your beauty, your grace,
But my pen stalls, stuck in place.

The past looms large, a shadow cast,
Holding me down, memories vast,
I yearn for the days, the laughter, the light,
But they feel distant, lost in the night.

I need to feel genuine, see your smile,
Not just a glance, stay for a while,
Put down the phone, look into my eyes,
Reconnect, let love arise.

I want the legends of our past to revive,
In the present, where love can thrive,
No more cages, no more chains,
Just pure love, through joys and pains.
