Like butterflies search the garden for flowers, I searched the world for lost love, I traversed vast stretches of land and even looked in the skies above.
But I found that love sitting just next to me- glistening in your exquisite eyes. My longing, my endurance finally paid off, I finally won the ultimate prize.
I love your overall message of looking for something (anything, not just love) in all the wrong places, while overlooking the abundance right near one's hands & heart. I love the butterfly analogy & descriptions of nature in the first stanza. I would love to see it tied together with more natural-sounding observations to describe one's beloved in the second stanza. But regardless of this little nit-pick, the message comes thru loud & clear & relatable.
Beautifully written. Sometimes we search for things far and wide but find that it is close by. In this case you have been talking about love. The similitude of searching for love to butterflies searching for flowers in a garden is beautiful indeed.
I am glad that you won the ultimate prize.

This is such a beautiful writing. Having searched everywhere for something, in this case love, and finding it beside you all along. I enjoyed this poem greatly.
Well done.
