She's Out There...A Poem by VassDWords become sentences, sentences become stanzas, stanzas become...She’s
out there Shouting Pulling
at the prison bars He’s
in here Crying Feeling
every scream They’re
reaching Apart
now Crowning
this heart’s agony Waiting Forever To
wake up from the dream
She’s
out there Bleeding The pain
of standing strong He’s
in here Weeping Seeing
phantoms everywhere They’re
falling Apart
now Raindrops
fall like crimson Waiting
To die
now The world,
it separates
She
out there Clinging To one
last memory He’s
in here Remembering The way
things used to be They both
are Regretting Mistakes
that they have made Waiting
For redemption They’re
certain cannot be
She’s
out there Fighting To hold
on to his love He’s
in here Screaming Angry
at the loss They can’t
be Together The order,
it stands clear So waiting But never Comfort’s
on the cross
She’s
out there Fading Can’t
think, can’t hold on longer He’s
in here Breaking Free to
find a way They’re
coming Still
nearer To the
end that was foretold Waiting
No more
now The war
is here to stay © 2012 VassDAuthor's Note
