Just PretendingA Poem by Vartika
We pretend to be as sorted as ironed clothes piled up in our cupboard,We try and put it on like a semicolon that somewhere gives hope and sense of betterment,We then unapologetically become that one ray which blends up with our skin.
Eventually, we get covered with so many pretentious layers which we are not, only because we never completely shrug our odds off. We just try to hide one thing after another instead of eliminating it while moving forward with unexpected turns of events; which make us the slave of our own selves. With that past baggage, it becomes so validating to respire and even mirror holds you back. As a result, it becomes necessary to recover from those things that were deprived of an apology,to overcome those patterns that somebody else never regretted for. Vartika Shukla © 2020 Vartika |
