Off-Guard

The light weight feeling of letting go,
feeling more alive with every lyric
Unconsciously immersed in the audio,
the sensation is almost therapeutic.

Drowning out the world and its worries,
as if the planet is coming to an end
Becoming one with the melody with ease,
my favorited pieces helping me to ascend.

The music coming to an end pleasantly,
reality hits me hard
Recognizing my ringtone instantly,
I feel as if I have been caught off-guard.

Nice read! Did you mean to write "favorited" as in you marked them as your favorites on your Spotify/streaming service, or is that a typo? When multiple words are used as an adjective group, there's normally a hyphen in between them or they become one word ("lightweight"). Just a stylistic suggestion, if you want to reduce the wordiness "cause me to" you could use "help me" or something of the like. "Realizing" isn't quite the right term here, you could use "recognising" maybe (or "recognizing that it's, but that's a lot of syllables to deal with)?
