Part One: V

Part One: V

A Chapter by VanillaTwilight

Revenge, sweet revenge, was all I could think as I searched through records. With the help of Damion Corey, the only other surviving person I could find, I had traced this freak accident to its source. I had been searching through documents pertaining to him for the last four hours. Even our advanced technology could only go so far. The main thing that our technology could do that only council members had access to was that we could trace nearly anything.

I traced trouble in the ancestors of the man who had caused the freak accident all the way back to some man who died in 2091, just over four hundred years ago. According to the records, he had treated his wife badly because she was rebellious and wouldn’t submit to him. His kids had grown up thinking that violence was the solution to everything, and that way of thinking had been passed down all the way to this freak accident.
I banged my fist on the table, furious at this man who had caused this trouble. Except really, it was his wife’s fault, for not listening to him, and inducing him to be violent. Transitively, it was his fault that my sister was laying there, dead.

It was his fault that Rialle would never jump up and run to greet me again.

It was his fault that I would never again spin her in my arms, laughing, until we were both dizzy.

This is really amazing. What time period or era does this book take place? I think it is an amazing futuristic science fiction book that is original. It has minimal errors and many descriptive words to describe the setting and characters. A truly inspiring novel.
