Stars

A poem I wrote for school last year.

The sun sinks low

The light is spent

An onyx sheet

Spreads overhead

 

New light comes forth

As stars glow white

They shine, they glow

They twinkle, burn

 

Bright shining star

Soars ‘cross the sky

Bright tail ablaze

A wish tonight

 

The sky grows light

The night is through

A ray of sun

Shines through the mist
