I am a FighterA Poem by EmilyThis is my first attempt at poetry of my own, I was advised to channel my emotions in a productive way. This is what resultedI am a fighter.
I am scared. I am wounded. I have a Fortress, Court room, Barracks complete. Shots are fired, arrows ablaze. Burning down my walls till cobbles remain.
I am a prisoner.
I am a captive. Shackles skin deep. Locks upon chains. Keys, what keys? The jailer, a great mound of muscle held in the stronghold. Corrupted, sour. My brain that is.
I am a fugitive.
I am running. Far away. Take me to neverland, up up and away. Throw me to the wonderland, tumbling here we go. I awake to shackles, drowning in the salty below. Limp as weed my body falls, dainty as petals, heavy as rocks.
I am a fighter.
Brave and strong. I will live to sing my song.
