HiddenA Poem by Vanik
Seeing my soul plastered on these walls.
My intentions, my desires Dripping from the window sill. My love , my compassion Splattered across the floor. The art of me does not meet the requirements For the love of you so you paint over it. Smearing the good with the bad Then covering it all up. Showing my art is being true to myself But you can't allow that Because you don't like me, And if you don't like me How can anyone else possibly achieve such a feat But is the danger of displaying my art Greater than the danger of keeping it hidden? You hide me because you're scared of me. Scared of my truth, scared of my strength but I understand. The world is scared of the unknown, They don't like to see different, They don't like to see truth. I love you for protecting me But your time has come to an end. I need to show the world what I can do. So dear Mr vessel, release me I beg of you. © 2018 Vanik |
