Castle Crumbling

Castle Crumbling

A Poem by Attentive_Ambience

Have you ever heard the sound of rain falling upon a glass castle? Neither have I - But: I imagine it to sound like a delicate bell. Each drop a vital ingredient to the overall production. And when I bend down to kiss the princess I’ll wake up. Because a kiss never tasted so cold.

very imaginative imagery in this poem...unexpected directions it takes.
the kiss waking up the speaker not the princess...as she is so cold...he realizes it's time to move on.

This imagery is very interesting. I like it a lot. I can imagine it sounding like a bell as the rain hits the glass. I’m curious as to what the colon symbolizes, but I’m sure it holds significance.
I loved reading this!

Thank you :) Honestly, the colon was just for my own aesthetic pleasure. Sure, it's probably breakin.. read more
