Who is he

This poem was made for a project in my law class.By Brianna Nobles and me.It's a poem on domestic violence.And just to let you guys know,Domestic Violence Awareness month is October.

I've finally found a man who loves me

He's tall and sweet and sometimes lazy

With his brown eyes and brown hair

He spreads his love everywhere

From my face,to my arms,to my stomach,to my legs

The pain in my body only spreads

I'm covered in bruises and down on the floor

I don't think I can take any more

Several days have passed since the last time he hurt me

He's brought me flowers and a lot of candy

He's apologized so many times

I'm sure they aren't lies

He says he loves me,he says he cares

But I can't stand it when he swears

I'm going to forgive him,I'm sure it'll be fine

Believing in him isn't a crime

I hear the doctors around my head

They'll be counting my heart beats until I'm dead

I thought I could trust him,believing all he said

But now I'm just a rag doll instead

I should have listened,I should have realized

Every promise he made me were lies

Remember what happened to me,take it to heart

Never let another tear you apart
