Waiting

Waiting

A Poem by Vampyrica1995

I’m standing here

Waiting

Waiting for a catalyst to push me

Either into happiness or into death

Though I would rather happiness

If I found myself in death,

It would not affect me

If I cannot find happiness,

Why would I not want death?

Likewise,

If I could find happiness,

Why would I wish for my death?

I will tell you

Death is swift

Death will end all of my troubles

But it also shows that I give up

In order to find happiness,

We must challenge ourselves

We must fight all urges to shoot ourselves in the foot

True happiness is not easy

True happiness will not come without trying

If you have given up on trying,

You might as well be dead

Don’t give up your plight because it looks bleak

Persevere through the pain

And there you will find happiness

I’m standing here

Waiting

Waiting for my happiness to find me

I have not given up

I will persevere
