Dear Somebody

Dear Somebody

A Poem by Vampyrica1995

Dear Somebody,

I wish I was just like you

But you wouldn’t give me the time of day

While you are looking down at me from your pedestal,

I am looking up to you from the gutter

While you have your plans,

I am all alone

You have your friends and alibis,

I have no one and remain invisible

Dear Somebody,

I’d do anything to be accepted in your gaze

I am tired of loneliness

While you are never alone

I need to break free of my shell,

While yours has been long since shed

I fear the rejection of others,

Others fear the rejection of you

You only cry while laughing with your friends,

And I cry out of my pain

Dear Somebody,

While you are out making friends,

I am out making scars

No matter how hard I try,

I remain alone

No matter how I cry,

I still feel the pain

No matter how I try and try,

Instead of a smile,

It’s only a cry

Dear Somebody,

Please have some sympathy when I am gone

You would be the only one

Sincerely yours,

Nobody
