Memories

Memories

A Poem by Vampyre of Fantasy

A sharp cold knife touches my chest,
Threatening to enter with one push,
I tremble under the fear,
I won't let the memories come back,
Closing my eyes,
I try to forget,
Your lips touching mine,
Your hands on my hips,
The knife presses harder,
I refuse to let it happen again,
To break this easy,
When all of the sudden,
It hits me hard and fast,
The thought of you saying those three words,
The knife is pressed hard,
Piercing my heart with one thrust,
It's cold blade reveals my blood,
Tears sting my eyes,
The door is open,
I can't close it,
I remember you saying goodbye,
I drop to my knees,
Fridgid air fills my lungs,
I can no longer breath,
An anger rises over me,
I pull the knife out,
The blood spills,
But only for a moment,
Then wound scabs over,
And I tell myself I am fine.

Vampyre of Fantasy
I don't know how good it is but a friend once told me, "When in doubt publish." So I did.
