paper wings

paper wings

A Poem by Raven Dye

So delicate and fragile
Unable to fly
Cursed to the ground
But up so high

Ready to fall
On the roof top he stands
Screaming his lungs out
Reaching for his friends

He promised himself
"No more tears!"
Holding on tight
Ignoreing his fears

Trying so hard
Not to let go
The pain deep inside
Was refuseing to show

His body was covered
in unimaginable scars
tears down his face
and looking at the stars

His wings were so fragile
On the roof top he stood
Ignoreing the voices
that never said he could

He then broke loose
and started to fly
he looked down below
and never said goodbye

I really like it... finding peace and hope out of despair, the flow is excellent and your wording is exquisite. The ending was inspirational.
