The world today

Look around

What do you see?

Pain and destruction?

All around me

Is this all there is?

Can this not change

Is there not a space?

Like a safe home on a range?

Children hurt

Their parents to blame

They do this.

Just for fame?

Crashings and burns

We see and hear

The screams in the night

Are too much to bear

A shot in the dark

So cover your eyes

The blood slowly spills

and so do the lies

But what can we do?

We are only one

So we just sit and wait

For something else to be done.
