Protection from harm

Sometime i can
look around
But only when i cant
Hear a sound

I am in
my little box
I will not answer
if someone knocks

This is where
I wait and i hide
Where if i am upset
I would have cried

I do not open up my box
if someone is around
They would be too close to my heart
Or even hear it pound

So i keep my border up
And no one is inside
No one can enter
And no one can lie

I like my little box
As it hides me from the world
I will stay in it
And stay all warm and curled
