Nightmare

Nightmare

A Poem by Emily Jellybean :)
"

Nightmares that haunt me

"
Darkness surrounds your being
It engulfs your mind
Your ears are ringing
Your eyes are blind

Cuts sting on your chest
Bruises ache on your legs
You are covered in a bloody vest
Your feet are tacked into the wall by wooden pegs.

Your tears burn your dry eyes
They run down your dry cuts and cracked lips
You scream heartfelt cries
Silenced by your throat as it rips

Your chains clink and clank as you struggle through the pain
Your body aches
Your mind is going insane
You break

You open your eyes
You're covered in sweat
Your torture was full of lies
But your dream is not over yet

Wide awake
Staring into deaths hallow eyes
Your soul is his to take
Do you live or die?
