Yellow Hearts

Yellow Hearts

A Poem by Jean E. Shire
"

Falling in love with a traveller...

"

Travellers don’t count,
they roam, wander around,
never give your heart away,
to someone who can’t stay,
it’ll only cause you pain and sorrow,
he’ll be back on the road tomorrow,
you can laugh, you can smile,
he’ll laugh with you for a while,
but don’t give your heart away,
to someone who has lots to say,
who has so many stories to tell,
and he tells them so well,
never ever wrap your heart as a gift,
for someone who just needed a lift,
because he will need it again,
in another town, in another city when,
he roams and wanders around,
Travellers don’t count,
Travellers don’t count.
