DreamsA Chapter by untoldtruth*~~* daydreaming *~~*
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away, there was a girl. She was simply a peasant, but she was also very beautiful. Her pixyish face and cat like green eyes made her seem exotic. Her skin was a pale alabaster like that of marble and she had long luscious black hair that contrasted sharply. She was thin and tall but not too tall, with long legs which were never exposed because of her long dresses. If you were to come upon her she would have looked like royalty with her long neck and high cheek bones. But in the end the eye would be drawn to the dress that she wore which was all worn out and covered in dirt from all the hard work that she did. Alexandria always had to work so that she and her family could survive. Her ma and pa were both too old to work and so the work fell upon the shoulders of the two youngest of the family, Alexandria who was seventeen and her brother Keanan who was only twelve. Everyday was filled with labor such as feeding and grooming the horses of the knights, tending to the fields outside the kingdom and all other types of jobs that were expected of the peasants of the kingdom of Dranium. Although she knew it was selfish she couldn’t sometimes help wishing that a handsome knight in shining armor would come on his steed to take her away to somewhere she could be pampered and never have to worry about others. When she was hard at work she would start daydreaming of how her life could be if that were to actually happen. Those daydreams would help her escape to a different and more relaxing place, if only for a couple minutes. Her savior would come and profess his undying love for her and promise to cherish her if she were to accept his hand and come to live with him far away. He would have been kneeling down on one knee staring up at her from underneath his shiny armor. She would of course answer yes and he would stand up and put a ring of sapphires on her finger. He would step close to her until they were only just a few inches apart from each other and Alexandria would shyly bow her head down so to not look in to his face. His hand would reach for her chin gently and tilt her face up toward his. Once her face was where he wanted it to be, he would look in to her eyes questioningly. Alexandria would answer the unspoken question with a whispered “please”. Slowly, he would lean toward her, his lips coming closer, even closer until they were a breath apart then he would- “Alexandria! Where are you?!” Startled, she falls of the stack of hay. “Oof” © 2010 untoldtruthAuthor's Note
