A Story by Jim

Falling through cracks, I slide till it all goes black. It comes and it comes for what seems like an eternity, then it all changes. Words stream forth like a fountain, seemingly innocent and clean. It burns when you touch it, like lies, small and completely unnoticed till discovered. It burns and you love it. Love it like winter desolation, stuck behind closed doors. Silent and quiet, it passes like dreams. Little dreams that gently caress midnight like lovers hands with a goodbye kiss that strays to far from it's source. I write down these little miseries like clockwork, write them down and watch them crawl away like an ant back to it's hive, carrying with it all it's memories just for them to come back like a shot in the dark that rings out screaming. Wanting to get back in. A shot so loud it sounds like cannon fire echoing through my skull. Slowly fading, tripping through the dark. It finds home in all those little creaveses in my mind like a cave. I trip and stumble my way  through darkened passages just to find myself at the beginning again. Just some small childs maze, a play toy to be exploited and used. I get thrown away to a lost and broken land of forgotten toys. I will begin yet again in the dark passages in my mind and yet agian i'm falling through the cracks.
