Out of Reach

Out of Reach

A Poem by Jim

With the tips of my fingers it just seems to fall short.
All of it.

I'm not sure quite why yet, but I just can't seem to grasp it.
Any of it.

No handles, no bars, I just need something to hold onto.
For just a bit.

I will give it back, if you want it. I promise.
Just a tiny bit.

It all just slips through, like sand between the cracks.
Small, fragile and thin.

Like through a looking glass, it's all just so close.
Yet so far away.
