The Perfect ManA Poem by Valette
I met him at the store And took him home to bed. He was the perfect man- Strong and silent Deep and smart. He took me by the hand And lead me by the heart. We went to a faraway place And feasted on exotic food. The adventures we shared as one Have changed my life for good. But all too soon it ended The chapter drew to close- A wrenching pain tore my breast As I bid, “Good-bye, my love.” Then I closed the covers of my book And returned back to my room. © 2012 ValetteReviews
