Musings on a Violet Night

Musings on a Violet Night

A Poem by Valery

A million stars scintillated the violet sky,
resting under a banyan tree, hear, shyness.
The branches,boughs, are protectors,
hang upon this soul the feeling of contented solitude.

A river trickles through the green leaves,
as the wind picks up speed,
who knew darkness could be so illuminating,
so thought the mind while resting.

Beneath great heavens, above the great surface,
a mere form of illusion sat among a million trees,
Nature is more beautiful,
than most think it to be.
