Six Seconds of SilenceA Poem by Valerie Hope WoodardA song composed of my "nighttime thoughts"... wrote it a little past 5 am. 23 November 2010The leaves are falling and so am I I've been daydreaming about your eyes so tall and thin; your silhouette I'm wondering if you miss me yet
Stay up till five and sleep till three I keep dreaming of you, dreaming of me Everytime I wake or close my eyes you seem to be trapped in my mind
Then I use my imagination face to face confrontation the wind, it blows the time, it slows then there is
six seconds of silence lost in the moment here with you six seconds of silence your heart beats faster too six seconds of silence you place your arms around my hips six seconds of silence a fantasy I long to live six seconds of heavvenly silence on your lips.
We talk about peace and solitude both sitting under the stars in serene moods
You say it's also true if you're with the right one that some midnight company can be just as fun
Then I use my imagination face to face confrontation the wind, it blows the time, it slows then there is
six seconds of silence lost in the moment here with you six seconds of silence your heart beats faster too six seconds of silence I can feel your fingertips six seconds of silence oh darling what I wouldn't give for six seconds of heavenly silence on your lips. © 2012 Valerie Hope WoodardAuthor's Note
