What Do You Think?

I just wrote this...

And so the world went on as silently she did,

Carrying on so swiftly

So violently quiet,

People ignore,

People in shame,

People trying to go on…

Is there any reason to?

Destined to live

Or to wither

Or to Bloom…

Bloom…

Bloom…

Crumble…

Wither…

Sleep...

There’s nothing else to do,

In this world,

Full of lies,

Full of hurt you don’t know how you got….

“Keep your head high

There’s nothing to be

 And nothing to see…”

Really?

I see so much differently…

…Do You?

nice example of stream of conciseness piece, sometimes it takes a poem like this, without rhyme, reason, or purpose; to jump-start the mind into writing something that makes a little more... sense. Still, the way this piece descends, from a concrete scene to world fraught with doubt of even existence itself, is interesting, and the way you pull the reader in right at the end serves as a fine way to cap of the piece and leave us with something to contemplate. Good work, keep it up.
