Always

my first attempt at acrostic writing

As i look upon your face
Logic leaves with every moment
When i feel your warm embrace
All i want is this atonement
You leave me then with hastened pace
Sadly this is deserved torment

So short but says so much. I wonder what one would do to deserve this torment. This person is obviously allowing you to be in their life and letting you embrace her but yet, you can't have her. So sad. Great write though.

This is a nice little poem. Often, many poesms with this rhyme scheme (a-b-a-b) wind up sounding like children's rhymes. This, however has its own strong voice and rhythm. A small bit of sadness you've put forth here.

Hot damn this is good. Short and sweet as a candied nut. Yet...in the space of a few words you draw in an entire relationship. I'll be honest, I know strap all about poetry, but I do recognise good poetry, and this is good. I'm glad I was steered your way.
