"self"

"self"

A Poem by Valentine

    "Self"

Heart pounding,
In the breast,
Passion wild...
Soon to crest.

Lost in a life
Of stolen bliss,
Another's wife,
Another's kiss.

Children cry...
Alone in bed,
No explaination...
Not a word said.

Feed the passion,
Until it's past,
Children's tears...
Do not last.

Wow! What a powerful, thought provoking, poem.

"Feed the passion,
Until it's past,
Children's tears...
Do not last."

This last verse sounds like the way many people tend to think when they know that what they are doing will hurt a child. Too many try to justify their actions by down-playing the devasting affect it can have on families and others.

Very well penned, my friend.
