Wow! Such a heartfelt write! It is so sad when those we love refuse to receive that love, even when they don't return it. But even though it hurts so much, still being able to love can help us to overcome the sting of rejection....and help us to move on. I don't think love ever really dies completely...once you give a piece of your heart, even though the door is slammed shut, that piece of your heart remains with him. But, eventually, the hole it left is healed, with enough scar tissue, that we can love again.
When doors are closed. We don't feel dumb I believe. I believe a part of us is given and can't be returned. We accept and hold pieces of another too.
"I love you now...even more,
Than when you slammed...love's door."
Love don't die. Just become hidden. Thank you dear Poet for the outstanding poetry.

My pleasure to read your words and you are welcome.
Kathie, your writes on love and lose always leave me speechless.. Its amazing the way you've structured emotions in this piece and the flow you've chosen...Its a song to me when I read it. great work. cheers
This poem echoes the yearning and the pain mixed in a drink of abrupt surprise awoken by the bite of reality. We can choose only what we can do, and the rest is just up to the other person.

Its a beautiful poem...
I can somehow relate to it...
When you love someone and take care of them.. you naturally expect them to do the same ... And then if in return of your love and care, all they give you is pain, you seriously feel crushed.. You don't want to beleive it but the truth is right infront of you.... No matter how much you knock at that door.... They won't open it and you know it but your heart just can't seem to let go...

I like it and understand it, like a new love a new pain, i want to write one about those words, how many time our heart is broken but we can't stop loving while the OTHER has no problem at all. Thank for sharing my dear friend. God Bless you
